I of course run servers for myself, because they are my tools. But when I tried to offer free hosting for a variety of servers, its take energy that I havenāt always been conscious of. It was a feeling, but now I see it for what it is, and realize all servers have an expense.
The talkgroup platform is great because I can use it for what I need, at very little expense, while benefiting many other people. This is my preferred approach to network services. Well, that and decentralizing network services, that would be preferable of course!
